Allah ﷻ says in the Qur’an:

“O Prophet, tell your wives, your daughters, and the believing women to
draw their outer garments closely around themselves. That is more suitable so
that they may be recognized and not be harmed. And Allah is Ever Forgiving,
Most Merciful.”

— Surah Al-Ahzab (33:59)

Allah ﷻ also says:

“And tell the believing women to lower their gaze, guard their modesty,
and not display their adornment except what ordinarily appears thereof, and to
draw their veils over their bosoms…”

— Surah An-Nur (24:31)
